Inauguration of the new Redcliffe depot
On 3rd February, Keolis Downer in Perth, in partnership with WA PTA, inaugurated the new Redcliffe depot. This is the 6th depot under the management of Keolis Downer in Western Australia. This project has been in planning and execution since 2017 and involved a multimillion dollar refurbishment of an old PTA facility that has not been in use since the 1990’s. Key outcomes of the project include:
- A strategic holding close to the city, airport and new train line currently being built
- A depot that will allow for future expansion of the Perth Metropolitan bus network
- The launch of a centralised state of the art control centre, with will allow for future expansion of the bus service
For this launch Keolis Downer organised an open day with over 80 staff, 70 buses and the Perth Training group who relocated in this depot.
Redcliffe depot is in the process of being ISO accredited including ISO 55001 Asset Management.
